In our home, this space is directly off of the living room. It was formerly our playroom, but the mess from the toys was constantly spilling into the main living space. One day the mess just drove me so crazy that I took everything out and reorganized it all to fit in the kids bedrooms. This has helped with not only the mess of toys, but it has helped with the arguing over "that's my toy". We had family coming to visit soon so it made since to convert back to a guest room.
I have an obsession with Loloi rugs on Amazon. Super easy to clean, affordable, and gorgeous. I am achieving the colors and style that I want without the price tag. The browns and greens in this rug were exactly the palette I wanted to start off with. The bedding and painting above the bed are both from Target and the throw pillows are H&M. These Amazon curtains pair perfectly and come in several colors. They are velvet, heavy, and black out. I highly recommend! Love the leather ties on this IKEA bed and the light fixture is from West Elm.
I am in love with the Sherwin Williams color Pewter Green. It is exactly the dark and moody color that I had in mind. I used a satin finish to give it a nice sheen and to help with the sticky toddler fingers always touching the walls in our home. I recommend using Frog Tape instead of trying to cut in. The clean lines are worth the extra time.
